TheVeganKind Monthly Box – Review

I was so happy to be given the opportunity to review TheVeganKind’s monthly box for April. In case you’re not familiar with this company, it is a monthly subscription of £10 + £2.95 delivery, and every month you receive a box of vegan goodies. The products are always vegan and always cruelty free. They are often ‘new to the market’ products, so it gives you the opportunity to try something new and something you are not familiar with – how exciting! The website says that the cost to the subscriber is £10, but the value is always greater.

The products can be food items, beauty or household goods. There were six items in my box: chocolate coconut milk (snack size), lip and body balm, seed and protein bar, chocolate soya snack, coconut sugar (full size pack), and sushi nori (full size). The usual retail price totalled £14.13, so clearly good value.

The box was lovely and the packing excellent. I love that the delivery box clearly had TheVeganKind displayed on the outside, also ‘be kind, go vegan’… a good bit of vegan activism and promotion going on there!

We haven’t tried all the items yet, but we three loved the protein bar and chocolate soya snack. We had never tried soya nuts before, so they were a bit of a revelation – quite yummy actually and nuttier than we expected; the chocolate on the outside sealed the deal, we would definitely buy these again!

I tried the lavender lip and body balm as a lipsalve and it was very good – the scent was gorgeous and it worked very well as a lip moisturiser.

Finally, also included was a recipe card with a recipe which used the coconut sugar. In your third month’s subscription box you will receive a folder to store all your recipe cards in – great idea. I should add that TheVeganKind is a UK based company, but they do also ship to European destinations.

I think that our first TheVeganKind box was a great success, and I look forward to many more.

  1. This is a great idea. Wish someone did the same here in Australia. I’ve never seen coconut sugar. Saw it mentioned in a couple of recipes I was looking at the other day. Will have to keep an eye out.

Hi, yes it is a great idea! Hope that someone starts the same for you in Australia (new business venture for you?!). I’m the same as you, never seen coconut sugar before, but that’s the fun of these boxes!
