We have a couple of boxes of beautiful apples which need eating up, a real mixed bag of types! So they went into the crumble regardless of whether they were cookers or eaters.
You will need:
As many sliced apples as you can fit into your dish
150g plain flour
50g vegan margarine
2Tbsp ground flaxseed
I added some ground flaxseed just for a change. It worked out really well, plus it’s great for your omegas!
Start by mixing the flour, sugar, margarine and flaxseed in a food processor, or mix by hand until it looks like fine breadcrumbs.
Tip your sliced apples into a baking dish and add just a dash water and a sprinkling of sugar. Spread the biscuity mix on top and bake in the oven for about 40 minutes at 190C.
