Banana Bread Recipe

2 ripe bananas
1 1/2 cups plain flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
3 tablespoons agave nectar or maple syrup
3 tablespoons water
1/4 cup walnut pieces

Mash bananas in a large bowl, and add the sieved dry ingredients. Give it a good mix. Add the water and agave nectar, mix well; add the walnuts and stir in.

Turn the mixture into a tin of your choice. I used a round cake tin as it has a removable base. Bake at 160C for about 45 minutes.

  1. I have made your version of a lovely banana bread & loved every bite of it, so did my hubby!
    The second time, I used 1 cup organic light spelt flour & 1/2 cup organic white flour & loved it even more! Yummmm! So good, so tasty too!
